The poem

I stand upon the heels of giants,
their voices guide careful steps.
Their masters spoke,
through sacred silence,
I carry what their teaching kept.
Yet as their influence start to cave,
my own rhythm calls my name.
I weigh their truth against my own—
and walk the path my heart has shown.
